On March 13, 2024, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar, in collaboration with the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, successfully organized an Extension Lecture on Career Guidance. The event, which took place at 11:00 AM, was a part of the Institution’s ongoing commitment to providing students with valuable insights into their future career paths.
The lecture featured Ms. Pooja Sharma, Vice Principal of the Government School, Nawanshehr, as the Resource Person, and Mr. Jagdish Rai, representing the Adarsh Social Welfare Society and a retired Principal of the Government School, Nawanshehr, as the Guest Speaker. Both speakers brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the session, providing students with practical advice and guidance on career planning and development.
The event was meticulously organized under the leadership of Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Coordinator CGPC), Prof. Deepika (Member IQAC), Prof. Navdeep Singh (Member IQAC), and Dr. Ajay Dutta (President IIC). The efforts of these coordinators ensured that the lecture was not only informative but also engaging for all attendees.In her opening remarks, Dr. Kuldeep Kaur, Coordinator of IQAC, emphasized the importance of career guidance in shaping the future of students. Prof. Lakhwinderjit Kaur, the Principal of the college, also addressed the gathering, encouraging students to take full advantage of such opportunities to enhance their career prospects. Throughout the session, Ms. Pooja Sharma and Mr. Jagdish Rai discussed various career options, the importance of skill development, and the need for continuous learning in today’s competitive job market.
