Two Days workshop on Mock interview and Group Discussion

Career Guidance and Counselling Cell

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of BAMKC organized a two-day workshop on “Mock Interview and Group Discussion” on 9th and 12th April 2024. The workshop was designed to prepare students for the selection processes commonly used by employers, focusing on enhancing their interview and group discussion skills.
On the first day, participants engaged in mock interviews conducted by industry professionals. The aim was to simulate real interview scenarios, allowing students to practice their responses, receive constructive feedback, and improve their performance. The session also provided insights into common interview questions, effective communication techniques, and how to make a positive impression.
The second day was centered around group discussions, a critical component of many selection processes. Students were guided on how to effectively participate in group discussions, including how to articulate their thoughts clearly, work collaboratively, and present their ideas persuasively. The session included live group discussions on various topics, with facilitators offering feedback on each participant’s performance and providing tips on how to stand out in a group setting.
The workshop was well-received by the students, who appreciated the hands-on approach and practical advice. Many participants reported feeling more confident and better equipped to face interviews and group discussions in future selection processes. The CGPC and IIC plan to continue offering such workshops to further enhance the employability skills of BAMKC students.
