On September 1, 2024, BAM Khalsa College’s Department of Languages hosted a special online lecture on “Phonetics,” delivered by Assistant Professor Navdeep Singh via Google Meet, Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera, the session extended for over an hour and was marked by its interactive nature. Asst. Prof. Singh effectively elucidated key phonetic concepts, including the study of speech sounds, their articulation, and their acoustic properties. The lecture engaged participants through discussions and real-time questions, enhancing their understanding of phonetics and its role in linguistics. The event was well-received, highlighting the department’s commitment to advancing linguistic knowledge. More than 50 students got benefited by the same.
