The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) has been implemented in Chandigarh by BEL under the Smart City mission of the Govt. of India, to provide safety and security to citizens, efficient service deliveries and sustainable growth.

Dr. Ajay Dutta(HOD, Computer Science) has organized a visit to Smart City Integrated Command and Control Center(ICCC) for computer science students of  B.A.M. Khalsa College, Garhshankar. This trip was planned to motivate the students by providing them the practical understanding of latest technologies and how work is done in company’s environment.

Mr. Ashish, the Consultant of Smart City Project, explained us all about this project in detail. He explained that the command centre will act as the brain of the city with an on-premise data centre hosting all relevant solutions for all field systems and data analytics tools for informative decision-making, better disaster management and smarter governance. He and his team co-operated us in all ways. They also show us the whole building, computer labs, and their server workstations.

This trip was memorable to everyone. Also, Mr. Ashish has invited the new ideas from our students to make the city smarter. In the last minutes, Dr. Ajay Dutta thanked them to give us their precious time, knowledge and information about the project “Smart City”.
