On the occasion of “World Creativity and Innovation Day”, the Best out of Waste competition was organized by the Department of Education and Institution’s Innovation Cell. The aim of this activity was to instil creativity among students and enable them to innovate by recycling and reusing the waste materials that are easily thrown into the bin. Realizing the theme students created beautiful and useful crafts such as wind chimes using the egg tray, snowman from waste cloth cuttings, wall hanging from pistachio nut shells and cardboards etc. The crafts created by students were very decorative and Innovative. In this competition MansiRana from B.Sc.B.Ed. III won the first position, Priya from B.A.B.Ed. II won the Second position, Riya from B.Sc.B.Ed. III and Navleen from B.A.B.Ed. I won the third position. The judgement was done by Prof. Naresh Kumari, HoD of the Education Department. In the end, Prof. Lakwinderjeet Kaur, officiating Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the students and advised them to reuse and recycle the waste material. Prizes were distributed among the winners. The event was also attended by Dr. Ajay Dutta, Coordinator IIC, Prof. Deepika, member IIC and faculty of the education department.
