The objective of this event was to promote awareness about Digital Empowerment and highlight how digital technologies are transforming India into a Smart Nation. Lecture on Artificial Intelligence Tools Delivered at Jalandhar Public School

On 26th September 2025, Dr. Ajay Dutta, President of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar, delivered an informative and interactive lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools at Jalandhar Public School.

The program was organized under the leadership of Dr. Amandeep Heera, Principal, Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar. The session aimed to introduce students to the power of AI and its applications in the modern digital world.

During the lecture, Dr. Ajay Dutta discussed various AI-based tools that can enhance creativity, productivity, and innovation among students. He also emphasized the importance of AI literacy and how it can empower the young generation to prepare for future technological advancements.

The event was graced by the presence of the Sukhdeep Kaur (Principal ) Jalandhar Public School and Mr. B. S. Bedi, Incharge of the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL). Introduction

The Department of Commerce and the Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Institutional Innovation Cell (IIC) and the Business Students Association (BSA), organized an Induction Program for the first-year students of B.Com., B.C.A., and M.Com. on 20 August 2025 at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar.

The purpose of the induction program was to welcome the new students, familiarize them with the institutional environment, and provide insights into academic, cultural, and entrepreneurial opportunities available at the college.

    The event commenced with a warm welcome to the freshers, where the faculty members introduced the vision, mission, and values of the institution.

The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized the first day of a hands-on WordPress Bootcamp on 28th July 2025. The objective of this bootcamp is to train students in building and managing professional websites using the WordPress platform.

    The session commenced with a warm welcome to the participants and a brief introduction about the bootcamp’s purpose and expected outcomes.

  • Speaker Session – Dr. Ajay Dutta:
    Dr. Ajay Dutta started the session with an overview of web development and the importance of WordPress in modern website creation. He highlighted:

    • Introduction to Content Management Systems (CMS)

    • Why WordPress is the most widely used CMS

    • Real-world applications and career opportunities

  • Hands-on Training:
    Participants were guided through:

    • Setting up a local WordPress environment using XAMPP
