Event: Annual Sports Day Date: 16th March 2024

On the 16th of March 2024, our college celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event kicked off with a grand march past, where the NCC cadets played a pivotal role. Dressed in their immaculate uniforms, the cadets led the parade, showcasing discipline and unity.

As the NCC cadets took to the field, they proudly raised the NCC flag, symbolizing their commitment to the nation’s values. Marching at the front, they set a tone of pride and patriotism, which resonated throughout the event. Their synchronized movements and sharp salutes were met with loud applause from the audience, reflecting the respect and admiration they commanded.

The participation of the NCC cadets in the march past was a highlight of the day, adding a sense of solemnity and grandeur to the proceedings. Their presence not only exemplified the spirit of sportsmanship but also underscored the importance of national service.

The Sports Day continued with various athletic events, where students competed with enthusiasm and sportsmanship, inspired by the cadets’ exemplary performance.

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and a vote of thanks, marking the end of a memorable and successful Sports Day.

 

 




Guard of Honour 26/08/23

The two-day visit began with welcoming the NAAC Peer Team with a Guard of Honour and a gratifying salute by NCC cadets. The members of the NAAC Peer Team who arrived for Assessment and Accreditation were ceremoniously welcomed by NCC Cadets in uniform at the college’s entrance on August 26, 2023. The NAAC peer team is escorted to the arena by an officer brandishing a sword after another troop performs an NCC song.




Independence Day 15/08/2023

Independence Day was celebrated at government sr. sec. school, Garhshankar. The main highlight of the event was March past by National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadets. The cadets marched to the tune of drum beats and showcased an immaculate drill display. In a short period of training, they showed a very high standard of drill and discipline during the march and salute procedure. There were about 22 cadets who participated in the activity. Localities’ were present to witness this great feat.




Republic Day 26/01/2024

The 75th Republic Day was observed on January 26, 2024, by the B.A.M. Khalsa College NCC Unit. This event was held at Govt Sr. Sec. School, Garhshankar in collaboration with the local government. On this occasion, the primary guest was the SDM, Shri Shivraj Singh Bal. The chief guest raised the national flag to begin the Republic Day celebrations. The NCC cadets’ March Past was the highlight of the day. The cadets marched to the sound of drums and performed the drill performance with precision. Several NCC contingents marched in the March Past. The fact that schoolchildren displayed a range of cultural performances made the event noteworthy.

 




Kargil Vijay Diwas 26 July 2023

Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrated at Khalsa College

 

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated by The Ex-Servicemen Welfare Trust Garhshankar in collaboration with the college. On this occasion, President Captain Kewal Singh, Captain Amarjit Singh Gulpur, Subedar Kewal Singh General Secretary, Subedar Davinder Singh, Treasurer, Executive Principal of the college Prof. Rajesh Kumar were present. Lakhwinderjit Kaur and NCC In-charge Lt Gurpreet Singh paid homage to the martyrs of Kargil. Subedar Kewal Singh, while paying tribute to the martyrs of Kargil, expressed views on the circumstances of that time and motivated the students to take guidance from it. Paying tribute to the martyrs of Kargil, acting Principal Lakhwinderjit Kaur said that the country is safe from enemies only because of the Indian Army soldiers who risk themselves day and night on the border.

On this occasion, Dr. Harvinder Singh Bath, Advocate, Jamvir Singh Roy, President of Sher-e-Punjab San Union Jaswant Singh Bhathal, Paramjit Singh Babbar, Fauji Bakshish Singh Fatehpur clan, Lahimbar Ram Bhajjal, Gyan Singh Goli, Sajjan Singh Dhamai, Suvedar Jhalman Singh Dhamai, Subedar Jarnail Singh Dhanai, Avtar Singh Daulatpur, Karnail were also present.

International Yoga Day 2023




DISASTER MANAGEMENT TRAINING BY NDRF (07/03/2023)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), Security and Surveillance Committee (SSC), and 7th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) jointly organized and executed an awareness-and-training program on disaster risk reduction at BAMKC.

At B.A.M. Khalsa College, Garhshankar, Inspector S. Manoj Kumar Bhardwaj and his team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) briefed the NCC cadets and students on how to safeguard themselves and others during natural disasters. During this training, Inspector M.K. Bhardwaj addressed the gathering and stated that there is no time for natural disasters and that the first hour is crucial for saving lives. NDRF for the same objective. provided knowledge on disaster preparedness best practices, including CPR, fire, flood, emergency moves, blood control, improvised floating rafts, and earthquakes.

Lt. Gurpreet Singh of the NCC brought the training session to a successful conclusion. After the training session was over, principal Prof. Jaspal Singh expressed his thoughts and offered the team a vote of gratitude. The principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, NCC cadets, and other students were present throughout this training program.

 




BAMKC’s NCC Unit hosts a lecture on India’s G-20 Presidency (23/02/2023)

The G20 lecture titled “G20 and India’s Presidency” was arranged by the NCC unit of the B.A.M. Khalsa College and held on February 23, 2023, in the BAMKC’s M. Com Seminar hall. The moderator for the day was SUO Parteek. She extended a warm welcome to the academic staff, especially Professors Kanwar Kulwant Singh and Gurpreet Singh. She welcomed the seminar attendees, including the NCC cadets. Prof. Kanwar Kulwant emphasized the significance and applicability of the discussion. UO-Harmanpreet Kaur presented the related PPT. She also emphasized some of the crucial ideas that India is likely to adopt under the incoming administration, like Women’s Empowerment and Digital India. Natural Catastrophe Mechanisms for risk management, eco-friendly technology, conservation of resources, resource effectiveness, and, most importantly, the growth and development of vertical agriculture. One Earth, One Family, One Future is the slogan during India’s G-20 presidency. India has the chance to demonstrate to the world at the G20 its potential to become a global leader as well as what it is capable of once it does so. After the lecture, there was an excellent Question and Answer period. SUO gave a vote of thanks at the program’s conclusion.




Republic Day 26/01/2023

On January 26, 2023, the NCC Unit of the B.A.M. Khalsa College commemorated the 74th Republic Day. In cooperation with the local administration, this event took place in the grain market close to the bus stop in Garhshankar. The SDM, S. Preetinder Singh Bains, who served as the chief guest, attended this occasion. The national flag was raised by the principal guest to kick off the republic day festivities. The highlight of the event was the March Past of the NCC cadets. The drill demonstration was flawlessly executed by the cadets as they marched to the beat of drums. Participating in the March Past were other NCC contingents. The occasion was notable because school pupils performed a variety of cultural acts.
