Webinar On “Cyber Crimes & Security”

On 19th August, 2023. The department of Computer Science and Applications of B.A.M. Khalsa college, Garhshankar has organized a webinar on “Cyber Crime & Security” at 10:00 A.M. The Resource Person of this webinar was Prof. Jessy Julian from Trinity College, Jalandhar. The Moderator of this webinar, Prof. Priyanka Bhatia, has started this program. Afterwards, the Principal Madam Prof. Lakhwinder Jeet Kaur gave a warm welcome speech to the Guest speaker Prof. Jessy Julian.

The resource person shared her valuable information and expertise knowledge with the audience. She makes students aware about different cyber-crimes, how it occurs, what precautions people should take to prevent it and different security measures.  All the students as well as faculty members attended this webinar. This session was a successful one as many students actively participated in it and asked their queries from the speaker.

At the end, the HOD of Computer Science and Applications Department Dr. Ajay Dutta delivered a vote of thanks to Prof. Jessy Julian for her precious time to make our student aware about “Cyber Crimes & Security”.




BA Sem VI Result Out, Simranjit Bagged 1st Position in the College

BA Sem 4th Result Out, 100% Pass Percentage for Functional English

In recently announced result of the Panjab University, Chandigarh, students of B.A.M. Khalsa College performed well. College Principal, Lakhwinderjeet Kaur congratulated all the students for their good marks and motivated them to achieve academic excellence in the upcoming exams too. Kamalpreet Kaur (83.7%) secured first position, Suneha (81.7%) secured second and Navdeep Kaur (81.1%) got third position.

Students of Functional English were highly delighted as the pass percentage of the subject remains 100%.

In recently announced result of BA Sem II, (PU, Chandigarh), students of BAM Khalsa College performed well.  The following students topped in the College.

A Seven Day Workshop Concludes at Khalsa College

Principal, Prof. Lakhwinderjeet Kaur today chaired the last session of the Workshop entitled ” Everyday English Vocabulary”. She addressed the participants and congratulated them all for joining this workshop. She accentuated the importance of English language and its uses at National and International Level.

Principal also applauded the efforts of Asst. Prof. Navdeep Singh for organizing this workshop for the students. Students shared their views regarding the workshop and were thankful and grateful being provided such platform free of cost.

Asst. Prof. Navdeep Singh assured that he would further take such ventures for the betterment of his students.







Second Day of the Workshop

On 16 August, 2023, an online class was taken by the resource person of A Seven Day Workshop entitled : Everyday English Vocabulary”. The PPT was presented to the participants and participants made this day a fun day by contributing different and interesting sentences for the given vocabulary words. All together, the session was very interactive and interesting.




Asst. Prof. NavdeepSingh Starts A Seven Day Workshop on “Everyday English Vocabulary” Starts at B.A.M. Khalsa College

On the day of 77th Independence Day, a seven day workshop on ” Everyday English Vocabulary” was commenced. On this day, online platform was used to get connected with the students/participants. Asst. Prof. Navdeep Singh started the session with a warm speech and wished the all happy independence day.

All the participants were eager to join the workshop, and they showed great passion for learning English vocabulary. The hallmark of this workshop is the use of local language to optimize the learning outcomes.

 




Two days Workshop on Professional Website Designing using WordPress

On 5th April, 2023:   The Department of Computer Science and Applications has organized two days’ workshop on Professional Website Designing by using WordPress. Many students registered for this program. This workshop was conducted by head of the department of computer science and applications Dr. Ajay Dutta. The whole program was co-ordinated by Er. Priyanka Bhatia.

The workshop started at 11:30 A.M. in Computers Lab till 2:00 P.M. In this workshop, students gained the theoretical knowledge about the subject first and then implemented this practically on computers. Many students asked their doubts from the speaker and got the best answers. Everyone made their own small websites using sub-domain at WordPress.

We got very good response of this workshop as the students got valuable information. Next day on 6th April 2023, they have also learned about relevant online tools and strategies.




Speech Competition To Commemorate Martyrs’ Day 2023

Every year on March 23, is observed as Martyrs Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas as a tribute to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru.  The trio fought for the freedom of India from the British rulers and sacrificed their lives on 23rd March, 1931.

An event of speech competition was organized on 22nd March,2023 at 11:00 A.M. in Computers Lab for students to make them aware of the day. Many students participated in this event and delivered speeches in Punjabi, Hindi and English languages. All the speeches delivered by the students raised the information level of everyone. Though everyone did their best, but among all, three were secured first, second & third positions. Jatinder Kaur (M.Sc. IT) secured first position, Harpreet Kaur (PGDCA) was the second and Simran Deep Singh stood third.

At the end, the whole venue was filled with the emotions of love towards our Nation “India” and our freedom fighters. Also, students started chanting slogans of  “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.
