National Science Day

The Faculty of Science and Education, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm. This year’s theme, “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat,” inspired a series of engaging student-centered activities.

The celebration featured two key events: Poster Making and Poster Presentation. Students from B.Sc., M.Sc. (Chemistry & Mathematics), B.Sc.B.Ed. & B.A.B.Ed. actively participated, showcasing their creativity and understanding of science and innovation through visually compelling and thought-provoking posters. The poster presentation session allowed participants to explain their ideas, focusing on how scientific advancements can drive India’s growth on the global stage.

The event concluded with an insightful address by Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera, who appreciated the students’ efforts and emphasized the importance of science and innovation in nation-building. Dr. Heera encouraged the youth to harness their potential and contribute meaningfully towards a Viksit Bharat.

The celebration left students inspired and motivated to pursue scientific excellence and leadership on a global scale.




Skill-In-Teaching and Best Teaching Aid Competition

On 16 January 2025, The Department of Education, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council, organized an Innovative Teaching Aid Competition at B.A.M. Khalsa College, Garhshankar. The event aimed to encourage future educators to develop creative and effective teaching aids that enhance the learning experience. Participants showcased various innovative teaching tools, including models and interactive charts in the subject of English, Punjabi, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science. Each teaching aid was evaluated based on its originality, effectiveness, and practicality in the classroom. The winners were awarded in each subject category by the Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera in recognition of their efforts and innovative contributions. The event concluded with a motivational speech by the Principal and HoD Dr. Sangha Gurbaksh Kaur emphasizing the significance of innovation in education and the role of teachers in shaping young minds. Overall, the competition was a great success, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and experiential learning among students.
