Online interactive sessions on “The Role of Chartered Accountants in Financial Planning and Management”

Students of B.Com. 1st Year from Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College, Garhshankar, actively participated in a series of online interactive sessions on “The Role of Chartered Accountants in Financial Planning and Management,” held from 21st June 2025 to 28th June 2025 (7 days)  (Session 2024-25).

These sessions were jointly organized by the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college in collaboration with CA Manbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Gurpreet Singh, under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Manbir S. Sandhu & Associates, Chartered Accountants, and the Department of Commerce, B.A.M. Khalsa College, Garhshankar.

Special Online English Classes for Weak/ Moderate & Advance Students

Asst. Prof. Navdeep Singh, Dept of English will take online classes before Final ‘versity Exams. These Classes are specially designed for weak, moderate and advance students. This initiative is taken under the guidance of Principal, Dr Amandeep Heera.




Online National Faculty Development Program Organised by College’s IQAC & Deptt. of English

Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera, Khalsa College Garhshankar’s IQAC and Department of English, in collaboration with NLD, successfully organised an Online National Faculty Development Program from 30 Oct., -05 Nov., 2025 under IKS Series on *“The Indigenous Voices and Living Oral Traditions of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.”




Mega Placement Drive DESGPC 15/03/2025

The “Mega Placement Drive 2025,” organized by the Directorate of Education under the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Sri Amritsar Sahib, was successfully conducted on March 15, 2025, at Kalghidhar Niwas, Madhya Marg, Sector 27-B, Chandigarh. The event marked a significant milestone in the efforts to provide employment opportunities to final-year students from SGPC institutions, furthering their career prospects by connecting them with a diverse range of employers.

The placement drive witnessed the participation of a large number of students from various SGPC-affiliated institutions. Over 500 final-year students attended the event, eager to explore the career opportunities offered by the participating companies.

A total of 20 plus companies from diverse sectors, including IT, healthcare, education, finance, and manufacturing, participated in the drive. The companies ranged from well-established firms to emerging startups, all of which were looking to recruit fresh talent.

CATC 17-26/06/2025

The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was conducted at Lovely Professional University (LPU) from 17th June to 26th June 2025, in which 27 cadets from the unit actively participated. The camp aimed to provide intensive training in drill, weapon handling, map reading, physical fitness, and leadership development. Cadets also took part in cultural programmes, sports events, and social awareness activities, showcasing their talent and teamwork. The camp successfully strengthened discipline, confidence, and camaraderie among the participants, reflecting the true spirit of NCC.




76th Raising Day on November 24, 2024

The 76th NCC Raising Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 24th November 2024 by the NCC unit of the institution. The programme highlighted the glorious journey and achievements of the National Cadet Corps since its inception in 1948. Cadets presented speeches, patriotic songs, and cultural performances showcasing the spirit of discipline, unity, and selfless service. The event also featured reflections on NCC’s contributions to nation-building and youth development. The celebration concluded with motivating words from the ANO, encouraging cadets to continue serving the nation with pride and dedication.

Viksit Bharat Prgramme 27/04/25

On 27th April 2025, NCC cadets actively participated in the Viksit Bharat Programme as per the directions of the Commanding Officer, 08 PB BN NCC. As part of the event, cadets showcased their creativity by designing logos representing the vision of a developed India and also attended a seminar highlighting the objectives and initiatives of Viksit Bharat. The session inspired cadets to contribute towards national growth through innovation, discipline, and social responsibility. The activity successfully promoted awareness and a sense of pride among cadets about India’s developmental goals.
