Event: Tree Plantation Drive
Date: 14/08/24
Venue: BAMKC & Different Villages

As part of the nationwide initiatives ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ and ‘One Cadet One Tree,’ a tree plantation drive was inaugurated at BAMKC, with great enthusiasm and purpose. This drive is aligned with the broader goal of planting five lakh trees in the lead-up to Independence Day 2024, symbolizing the commitment of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to environmental preservation and sustainability.

The drive commenced on the college campus, where Principal Amandeep Heera, and NCC In-charge Lt. Gurpreet Singh led the cadets in planting trees. Both leaders inspired the cadets, emphasizing the importance of this initiative in nurturing the environment and honoring the nurturing role of mothers, symbolized through the planting of trees.

Under the combined theme of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ and ‘One Cadet One Tree,’ cadets were motivated to extend this initiative beyond the college premises. They took up the responsibility of planting trees in their villages and surrounding areas, ensuring that the impact of this campaign reaches far and wide. This initiative not only fosters a deeper connection with nature but also raises environmental awareness among the youth, encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices.

The cadets’ active participation in this drive has been commendable, and their efforts are a testament to the spirit of service and dedication that the NCC embodies. As the trees planted today grow, they will stand as living symbols of the cadets’ commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.
