Poster presentation on “Science for a Sustainable Future”

National Science Day has been celebrated on 28 February, 1987 for first time. On this day, we remember invention of “Raman Effect” by Indian Scientist Sir C.V. Raman. This year National Science Day has been celebrated on 28 February, 2024 by Department of Sciences and Education in collaboration with IIC and MGNCRE under the aegis of III Society of Science. The theme of the National Science Day was “Science for a Sustainable Future”. On the day, different competitions like poster presentations, powerpoint presentations, model making, poster making etc. have been conducted by various department. These different events have been conducted under the guidance of Heads of the various Department. The Chemistry Department of B.A.M Khalsa College, Garhshankar has organized poster presentations on the topic “Science for a Sustainable Future” on “National Science Day”. The students of B.Sc. (Medical/Non-medical), B.Sc.B.Ed. (Education) & M.Sc. (Chemistry/Mathematics) have participated in the poster presentations. The 1st position in the competition has been bagged by “Mehakdeep and Anjali” of B.Sc.(Non-medical)-3rd Year, 2nd position was nailed by “Kiranpreet Kaur and Diksha Rani” of B.Sc.B.Ed.-3rd Year and 3rd position was secured by two teams “(Rajni & Bhavna)” of M.Sc.(Chemistry)-1st Year and “(Ishika Verma & Himani Chaudhary)” of B.Sc.B.Ed-2nd Year`. This event was also attended by Prof. Lakhwinderjeet Kaur (Principal), Dr. Manbeer Kaur (H.O.D lifesciences), Dr. Kuldeep Kaur, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur (H.O.D Mathematics), Dr. Janki Aggarwal, Dr. Mukesh Sharma (H.O.D Chemistry), Dr. Sangha Gurbaksh Kaur (H.O.D Eduaction), Dr. Preetinder Singh (H.O.D. Physics) and all the staff members of Science and Education. Organizing committee members for the event of poster presentations are Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Mr. Neeraj Virdi, Prof. Baldeep Kaur, Prof. Anchal. Prof. Lakhwinderjeet Kaur (Principal) also appreciated the posters that has presented by the students in the event. In the celebration of National Science Day, around 12 teaching faculties and 29 students of various departments were present
