The Department of Commerce and the Department of Computer Science and Applications in Collaboration with Business Students’ Association organized a heartfelt farewell program titled “Embraced Adieu 2026” to bid a warm and memorable goodbye to the outgoing students. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and participation from both faculty and students.
The program commenced with a welcome address of Prof. Kanwar Kulwant Singh and then Dr. Amandeep Heera the Principal also addressed the students and wished them good luck for their future journey. One of the highlights of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where position holders and outstanding performers of the department were recognized and honored for their academic excellence and overall achievements.
During the event, an Award of Appreciation was presented to Prof. Gurjinder Kaur in recognition of her exceptional dedication and distinguished contributions to the department. Her consistent efforts, commitment to excellence, and valuable guidance have played a significant role in the growth and success of the students as well as the department.
Prof. Kanwar Kulwant Singh addressed the students and also appreciated Dr. Gurpreet Singh BSA Chairperson for the successful completion of annual activities under BSA. During the event, it was also proudly announced that the Business Students Association (BSA) of the Department of Commerce extended financial support of ₹5,000 to the Computer Science Department under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) for the development of the department’s website. This initiative reflected a spirit of collaboration and innovation among departments.
The program also acknowledged the efforts of students who successfully completed NPTEL courses, appreciating their commitment towards self-learning and skill development.
The formal segment was followed by a vibrant cultural program that included poetry recitation, musical and dance performances, showcasing the creativity and talent of the students. The event further transitioned into a fun-filled session of games, where students actively participated, bringing energy and joy to the celebration.
Towards the conclusion of the event, the titles of Mr. Farewell and Miss Farewell were announced for each batch, recognizing the charm, confidence, and overall personality of the students. The celebration ended on a warm and emotional note with the distribution of tokens of love to all outgoing students by the departments, in the gracious presence of the Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera, Head of Department of Commerce Prof. Kanwar Kulwant Singh and Head of Computer Science Department Dr. Ajay Dutta, Dr. Janki Aggarwal and all faculty members of Department of Commerce and Computer Science.
The event concluded on an emotional note, with teachers and students sharing their experiences and best wishes for the outgoing batch. The farewell was not just a goodbye, but a celebration of memories, achievements, and the journey shared together.
